About the Assignment

We are looking for an experienced mentor/coach who wants to support managers in developing a more progressive and professional leadership style. The focus is on increasing the occurrence of desirable leadership behaviors, reducing undesirable behaviors, and contributing to enhanced stress management capabilities in leadership. The mentoring is based on the needs of the organization and aims to increase the manager's awareness of how their own leadership affects employees, the work environment, and the assignment.

The assignment includes individual mentoring sessions with time for reflection and practical preparation, as well as regular digital check-ins with the client.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct leadership mentoring focused on the development of leadership behaviors.
  • Support managers in strengthening their stress management capabilities in their leadership roles.
  • Create space for reflection and preparation related to concrete situations in everyday life.
  • Contribute to increased insight into how leadership affects employees, the work environment, and the organization's delivery.
  • Conduct regular digital check-ins with the client.
  • Ensure high integrity and professional handling of confidentiality.
Requirements
  • Academic education at least at the bachelor's level in psychology, behavioral science, pedagogy, work and organizational psychology, or equivalent.
  • Formal mentoring and coaching training focused on managers.
  • Documented knowledge in leadership theory, communication, and feedback as well as group and organization.
  • At least 5 years of experience in mentoring and coaching managers with a focus on developing leadership behaviors.
  • Experience working in larger organizations/companies.
  • Very good experience in balancing and managing confidentiality in assignments.
Desirable
  • Certification as a coach (ICF or equivalent).
  • Documented knowledge of the Swedish Defence University’s leadership model: Developmental Leadership.
  • Documented knowledge in change management and conflict resolution.
  • Documented knowledge in organizational and social work environment.
  • Clear methodology and a structured, goal-oriented approach that leads to expected results.
